Format & Special Rules:

• G/60; d5, 5 Rounds, Swiss, USCF Dual Rated (Regular + Quick)
• One game each Monday night starting at 7:00 PM

• Players are REQUIRED to check-in with the TD no later than 6:45 PM before the round each Monday night. Failure to check-in on time will result in a 0-point bye assignment! NO EXCEPTIONS!

• Check-in can be completed in-person or by texting that you will be playing. Please ensure you get a confirmation response text.

• Anticipated pairings for rounds 2-5 will be available on the tournament management website, Caissa, no later than Friday night at 6:00 PM but are subject to change based on requested byes and no-shows.
• One half-point bye may be requested for any week except the final round. This request must be made prior to Friday at 6:00 PM the week before the round.
• Byes requested after Friday at 6:00 PM will receive 0 points.
• Bye requests for round five must be made prior to the first round.
• Bye requests can be rescinded prior to the check-in cutoff time without penalty.

* - Outstanding Performance - Player whose tournament performance most exceeds their established rating based on the performance formula used by the Caissa tournament management software (caissachess.net)

** - Upset - Player with the biggest upset win by established rating.

• FREE ENTRY for Masters (USCF 2200+); $35 deducted from prizes.

Special Offer to New US Chess Members:

• New US Chess members play FREE if joining the US Chess Federation for the first time through this affiliate with a 1-year membership. Pay membership at registration!
• Your membership will be activated on the month of the tournament unless you specify an earlier date.

No Tiebreaks:

• Cash prizes will be distributed per USCF cash prize rules

• USCF membership required; Join/renew during registration.
• Players must be familiar with the USCF's Official Rules of Chess

Special Notices:

     This event will be held on the second floor of an office building and the downstairs restaurant will be CLOSED. An elevator is available.  Since the restaurant is closed, please do not try to enter the restaurant as simply touching the door will trigger their alarm. The restaurant door will be blocked with barricades.

 

     Children under 18 must NOT be left unattended under any circumstances! Parents who are playing must not bring their child to the tournament unless another parent or guardian is present to supervise the child while the parent is playing, even if the child is also playing in the tournament.

 

     The OKC Chess Club reserves the right to remove anyone from the premises who is causing excessive disruption to the tournament, is acting in an unsafe or disorderly manner, or who leaves a child unattended. If removal of a parent or child is required which would also leave a unaccompanied child in the tournament, then the child will also be removed from the event and their current game forfeited.
