Rules for this event

Byes: Players may request up to two half-point byes. Last-round byes must be requested before the start of round 1. For subsequent rounds, deadline to request is midnight each Thursday for the upcoming round. After pairings are posted on Friday, only zero-point byes will be given for that round.

Players must check in by 6:15. You can do this in person or by text. If you think you might arrive later than 6:15, just send a text before you leave. If any player on the preliminary pairings has not checked in by 6:15, the director will re-pair the round with a zero-point bye for that player.

And if you won’t be able to make it,
please let us know as early as you can. The more advance notice we have, the more likely it is that we'll be able to ensure everybody who shows up will have an opponent.

Players who no-show will not be permitted to participate in future one-round-a-week tournaments.

Pairings for round one will be posted at 6:16 p.m. on September 9. Preliminary pairings for subsequent rounds will be posted every Friday. Players should remember that these pairings could change due to new entries and/or dropouts, and that final pairings will be posted.
